What We Do

Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair

The Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair is an annual agricultural fair hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Statesboro, bringing joy and excitement to the seven-county area surrounding Bulloch County. Our mission is to create a fun-filled event for all ages while raising funds to support the communities we serve.

The fair is a lively mix of carnival rides, midway games, delicious food from local vendors, business booths, live entertainment, and a celebration of our rich agricultural heritage. Livestock shows highlight the talents and hard work of local farmers and youth.

In 2022, we proudly celebrated the 60th Annual Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair, a milestone that would not be possible without the dedication and vision of the Kiwanians who established and nurtured this incredible fundraiser over the past six decades. We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to these pioneers, and we are committed to continuing their legacy of community support and engagement.

Join us for a week of fun, food, and festivities, and help us give back to the community that makes it all possible!

Statesboro Kiwanis Rodeo

Since its inception in 2011, the Statesboro Kiwanis Rodeo has become a beloved annual tradition held every April. As one of our key fundraisers, this event brings the community together for a night of thrilling bull riding, bronc riding, and unforgettable family fun at the Bulloch County Agricultural Complex.

Join us for an action-packed evening filled with exciting rodeo events, delicious food, and plenty of activities for the kids. It’s an event the whole family will enjoy!

Best of all, every dollar raised at the Statesboro Kiwanis Rodeo stays right here in our community, supporting local projects and initiatives that make a difference.

Come be a part of the excitement and help us continue our mission of serving the Statesboro community!

Key Club Sponsorships

The Kiwanis Club of Statesboro is proud to sponsor the Key Clubs at Statesboro High School and Bulloch Academy. These dynamic organizations are dedicated to developing leadership skills, fostering a spirit of community service, and empowering students to make a positive impact.

Through our sponsorship, we provide guidance, resources, and support to help these young leaders thrive. Key Club members participate in various community service projects, volunteer activities, and leadership development programs. They gain invaluable experience that prepares them for future success while making meaningful contributions to our community.

At Statesboro High School and Bulloch Academy, Key Club members are involved in initiatives such as organizing food drives and assisting local charities. These activities not only benefit our community but also instill a sense of responsibility and civic duty in our youth. We are committed to nurturing the potential of these future leaders and are continually inspired by their dedication and enthusiasm.

Project Eaglet

Project Eaglet is an exciting and innovative program developed by the Kiwanis Club of Statesboro in partnership with Georgia Southern University and Bulloch County Schools. Through this program, we aim to provide local school children with unforgettable educational experiences that ignite curiosity and foster a love for learning.

Project Eaglet is a comprehensive, five-year educational outreach initiative designed specifically for students in grades 1 through 5 from Bulloch County Schools. Each year, students visit a different educational center at Georgia Southern University, immersing themselves in standards-based programming tailored to their grade level. By the time they complete the program, students will have explored a diverse array of academic disciplines, from science and wildlife to music and the arts.

Kiwanis Memorial Scholarships

Each year the Kiwanis Club of Statesboro provides the Kiwanis Memorial Scholarships to graduating seniors from schools in Bulloch County and our seven contiguous counties. These scholarships are funded through the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair and the Statesboro Kiwanis Rodeo to support graduating seniors for any post-secondary education institution. From these scholarships, a large number of deserving area students have benefited from the Statesboro Kiwanis Club since that first scholarship was awarded in 1971.
